#Loveisnotacrime: a look back at the Paris Pride Parade!

As usual, ECPM responded to Inter-LGBT's call to join the Paris Pride March on Saturday June 24, with a renewed set-up to celebrate our pride and remind us that the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights continues.

As 2023 marks the tenth anniversary of same-sex marriage in France (the so-called “Marriage pour tous”, Marriage for all)”, thousands of people gathered to call for an end to the “violence for all” that has always threatened LGBTQIA+ communities in France and around the world.

Under bright sunshine, hot temperatures and rainbow colors, some thirty volunteers came to support our “Love is not a crime” campaign alongside ECPM team, to raise awareness of the death penalty for LGBTQIA+ people and hand our latest dossier out to the public: 10 questions on the death penalty for LGBTQIA+ people. A big thank you to all those who came along and showed their support and to Marty Planchais for illustrating the campaign!

In 2023 in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Mauritania, Uganda, Qatar, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and Brunei, same-sex relations are punishable by death. A total of 12 countries where LGBTQIA+ communities are more threatened than ever. Join us now to defend their rights!
