KontraS is a national human rights NGO based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Its main activities focus on supporting victims of human rights violations. It seeks to improve respect for and protection of rights in Indonesia through advocacy, investigation, campaigning and lobbying. KontraS investigates various issues such as enforced disappearances, torture, impunity, and violations of civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights.
